On June 13, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division published the report from its 34-month pattern or practice investigation into the City of Phoenix and Phoenix Police Department (PPD). In the report, DOJ describes approximately 132 events to support its allegations. DOJ did not provide the City of Phoenix identifying information such as incident numbers or specific dates however City staff were able to identify many of the instances described.
The incidents listed below are those that City staff were able to identify using the information provided in the report. Below you will find materials related to these incidents including, but not limited to body worn camera videos, incident reports and other evidence. The purpose of this page is to provide the community with materials necessary to understand each described event. The website includes pertinent documents and videos associated with each incident from among the roughly 179,000 documents and 22,000 Body Worn Camera videos provided to DOJ during its investigation.
